Natural Remedies For Skin Care – Achieve Radiant Skin Naturally

While modern beauty may feature sophisticated devices and ingredients, natural remedies also exist that support skin health. Combine milk and turmeric for an anti-ageing mask or combine cucumber with yoghurt for cooling rejuvenation.

Maintaining radiant skin requires eating healthily and staying properly hydrated, both of which play an integral part. Eat lots of fruits and veggies so your body receives all of its essential vitamins to look radiant!

1. Coconut Oil

Coconut oil is an all-in-one oil, great for moisturizers, antimicrobial protection, and has great aromatherapy qualities. Rich in medium-chain fatty acids (mainly lauric acid with antimicrobial capabilities) and linoleic acid – two incredible hydrators – it makes an outstanding moisturizer, antimicrobial protector, and aromatic fragrance!

Candice Swanepoel of Victoria’s Secret loves this natural skin care ingredient to get her “natural glow.” Additionally, it works wonders on dry body parts like your feet and hands – simply apply a small amount and allow it to sit overnight on rough patches of skin for best results.

Mix it with coarse sea salt or sugar for an in-home exfoliant. Just be sure to purchase cold-pressed organic virgin coconut oil since this variety retains more of its nutrients – this will also prevent irritating sensitive skin.

2. Milk

Milk contains lactic acid, an exfoliating agent with antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties that makes for an ideal treatment of dry winter skin. Lactic acid helps remove dead skin cells while unclogging pores for an overall brighter and smoother appearance while also helping reduce blemishes and brighten the tone of skin tone. Lactic acid also has anti-inflammatory properties and can calm redness making milk an excellent solution!

Use raw milk and cotton ball for this natural remedy of skin care, applying it directly onto the face for 10-15 minutes before rinsing off with cold water and repeating twice weekly for glowing and radiant skin.

Milk can also be combined with various ingredients to create a mask to nourish and moisturize the skin. Cucumbers contain natural enzymes that tighten skin and reduce puffiness, while turmeric boasts antioxidants to brighten complexion and enhance texture. You could add egg whites for firming effects and mix the mixture with raw milk for moisturization purposes.

3. Avocado

Avocados have quickly become one of the world’s favorite culinary ingredients thanks to their silky texture and irresistibly delectable flavors, but this little green powerhouse also provides numerous skin benefits when applied directly.

Avocados contain healthy fats, vitamins and minerals that contain multiple beauty-enhancing benefits that can help you to attain smoother, brighter and baby soft skin. When eaten or applied as a facial mask, avocados provide deep hydration while combatting signs of aging, improving skin tone and texture, reducing inflammation and improving overall vitality in skin cells.

Another advantage of using natural remedies for skin care is their versatility in treating dry scalp and dandruff. To do this, simply combine equal parts avocado and coconut oils in a glass jar before warming it over just under boiling point water until warm enough to massage into your scalp – then repeat several times weekly!

4. Green Tea Bags

Green tea is packed with antioxidants and other beneficial nutrients, all designed to improve overall skin health. When applied topically, it can reduce signs of aging such as fine lines and wrinkles, prevent sunburns, treat acne breakouts, hydrate the skin, fight inflammation, shrink pores and even revive dying cells!

Green tea can be found in various skincare products, from cleansers and serums to masks and even cleansers for the face. Green tea’s anti-inflammatory compound EGCG makes it especially suitable for oily and sensitive skin types as its ability to regulate sebum production helps balance sebum production.

DIY masks can be easily created at home with green tea. Simply brew some tea and soak one or two bags for several minutes in it, before removing and applying to your face for 10-15 minutes before rinsing off with cool water. Be sure to follow up this treatment with one of your favorite moisturizers afterward to lock in moisture!

5. Honey

Honey is a natural sweetener that can bring a healthy glow to skin. Packed full of micronutrients like antioxidants, vitamins, minerals and amino acids, honey also contains natural enzymes with antibacterial properties to offer soothing remedies against dryness. Honey can be used as both face masks or remedies against flaky or chapped skin conditions.

Unfiltered honey contains an acidity level that closely corresponds with human skin’s acidity, making it an effective pore cleanser and moisturizer. Honey also draws moisture deeply into your skin for deep-hydrating benefits.

When choosing honey for use on your face, look for raw or Manuka honey. Manuka honey comes from New Zealand flowers and has proven antibacterial properties; it may even help soothe sunburns and heal wounds quickly! Additionally, Manuka honey may even help control acne breakouts or psoriasis outbreaks.

6. Exfoliation

Exfoliation helps rid skin cells that have built up over time from becoming matte and rough in texture. Physical exfoliants use abrasive particles or tools to manually scrub away build up, and can be effective across all skin types when done safely (see Note above).

Chemical exfoliants utilize skincare acids that break down dead skin cells on the surface of the skin. This includes alpha hydroxy acids such as glycolic acid that can also treat uneven skin tone and large pores, and beta hydroxy acids like salicylic acid that penetrate pores to remove oil build-up.

As for physical exfoliants, consider mixing brown sugar and coconut oil for an easy homemade scrub to gently buff away dead, flaky skin. Or try mixing together mashed banana and honey as an hydrating and exfoliating face mask. As an easy chemical exfoliant, diluting apple cider vinegar with water creates an easy at-home toner containing vitamin A to improve oily skin tones and minimize blemishes.
